Kris has been chosen as the first recipient of the newly created Anne Wilkes Tucker Young Photographers Endowment for 2017-2018.
The Anne Wilkes Tucker Young Photographers Endowment is an annual acquisition at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, that celebrates the outstanding achievement of an emerging photographer 35 and under.
Anne Wilkes Tucker is the founding curator of the MFAH’s photography department. In her 40-year career at the Museum, Tucker built the photography collection from a scant 141 prints to a collection of more than 30,000 photographs. This endowment celebrates Anne’s foresight by continuing the acquisition of excellent emerging photographers.
