As of May 1st the gallery will be temporarily without a home while we build out our new location. We will be back up and running by June 15th but, for the time being, we will be working out of a temporary office space in our current building and will be available to see clients any time. The Gallery will participate, along with more than 70 internationally renowned galleries, in The AIPAD Photography Show New York at the Park Avenue Armory, March 29 – April 1, 2012.

Photo District News’ 2011 Like List of the Year

Photo District News Magazine surveyed curators, dealers, gallerists, writers, editors, and educators for their 2011 “Like” List of the Year. When readers were asked “Which museum, gallery or other art institution has shown the most interesting photographic work in the past 12 months?,” Sasha Wolf Gallery was voted as one of 12. The gallery was selected among other NYC institutions, namely MoMA, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, and ICP.

September 10 – October 23: Gordon Galleries, Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA, will be hosting a solo show: Lebende Bilder: New photography by Yola Monakhov. Artists reception will be held on Sunday, Oct 2. 3 – 5pm.

Yola Monakhov will also exhibit as a Guest Artist in Old Dominion University’s 34th Annual Literary Festival. The event will be held on Oct 3. – 7, 2011.
